Bill Callahan has announced a new album, and the first preview titled “The Man I’m Supposed To Be” is now available.
The musician has presented “My Days of 58”, his new full-length that will be released next February 27 via Drag City. This announcement comes with the premiere of “The Man I’m Supposed to Be”, the first preview of the album, which is now available on digital platforms.
“My Days of 58” features the participation of Richard Bowden (violin), Pat Thrasher (piano), Chris Vreeland (low), Mike St. Clair (trombone), Bill McCullough (pedal steel), Eve Searls (choirs) and Jerry DeCicca (tambourine), in addition to the band that participated in “Resuscitate yourself” (Drag City, 24), the artist’s last full-length. The tracklist of the album is made up of the following twelve songs: “Why Do Men Sing”, “The Man I’m SUpposed to Be”, “Pathrol OG”, “Stepping Out for Air”, “Lonely City”, “Empathy”, “West Texas”, “Computer”, “Lake Winnebago”, “Highway Born”, “And Dream Land” and “The World Is Still”.
Bill Callahan is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist who has also recorded and performed under the name Smog. Callahan began his career in the lo-fi genre of underground rock, with homemade albums recorded on four-track tapes. Later, he began releasing albums with the Drag City label, with which he continues to work today.
