There is a new number 1 album in Spain and it is by Antoñito Molina. The singer from Cádiz places his third album, ‘El club de los dreamers’, directly at number 1 on the Spanish LP chart thanks mainly to the sale of CDs. There is no vinyl for ‘The Dreamers Club’ and the streaming data for the album, which appears at number 48 on Spotify, is discreet. Not a single song from ‘The Dreamers Club’ falls through the singles list, however, several of them have enough streams to be certified with Gold Records (‘Hubo un tiempo’, ‘La Aventura’) or they are very close to reaching Platinum (‘In Case Tomorrow’), also benefiting from their presence on the radio.
The next entry on the list stars Kylie Minogue. ‘Tension II’ is placed at number 3 on Promusicae, one of its best global data. Without having reached number 1 as in the United Kingdom or Australia or number 2 as in Sweden, ‘Tension II’ equals the figure for Belgium and improves those of countries such as Germany (4), the Netherlands (5), Ireland (8) or France (21).
In any case, the top 3 of ‘Tension II’ improves the latest historical data for Kylie Minogue in Spain: both ‘Golden’ (2018) and ‘DISCO’ (2020) were ranked 8th and the compilation ‘Step Back in Time : The Definitive Collection’ (2019) did not go above 5. The exception is ‘Tension’ (2023), the original album, which was top 2.
Two national entries are listed below. In the first place, ‘A House with a Garden’, by the revelation artist Enol, is placed at 16. Secondly, ‘Galerna’, by the artist already well known to all Álex Ubago, comes in at 25. Ubago also appears in 10th place on the vinyl chart, which is once again topped by Rosalía’s ‘MOTOMAMI’, probably thanks to some kind of offer or discount: it rises from 13th to 1st.
The penultimate entry on the album list goes to a well-known K-pop group, Seventeen, who put their mini-album ‘Spill the Feels’ at number 50. Finally, the reissue of ‘Four Roses’ and May God Share Luck’ ( 1985) by Gabinete Caligari is placed at 54.
