The Madrid band Alcalá Norte has canceled the concerts they had planned to perform today in Barcelona, but also in Seville and Granada. The reason was the urgent operation yesterday Tuesday for acute appendicitis of its singer Álvaro Rivas.
In a statement released by the band itself, it is stated that the singer Álvaro Rivas began to feel unwell last Monday night and that, when he went to the hospital the next day, he was hospitalized and operated on urgently for appendicitis. A fact that has forced them to cancel and postpone the most imminent concerts of their successful theater tour.
Specifically, the concert scheduled for Barcelona at the Razzmatazz hall has been relocated to next February 14, although at the moment it is unknown what will happen with the dates in Seville (Monkey Week) and Granada (November 23 at Lemon Rock). And, of course, tickets purchased for the Barcelona date will be valid for the new scheduled date, although a refund may be requested until December 20.
The Madrid sextet Alcalá Norte has burst onto the national scene with unusual force thanks to the strength of their self-titled album released by the Basque label Balaunka. An album in which they pour almost gothic darkness, rock energy and pop melodies, with unusual historical and intellectual references.
