“Nobody’s Coming To Save You” (PIAS,26), second album of the quintet Gurriersrepresents an important step forward that brings the Irish to the first division of young fiery guitar bands. And right now, they don’t lack competition. In November they will be presenting it in our country.
Kase.O returns to the ring a decade after launching “The Circle” (16), and he does so after raising in recent years an enormous dust storm of controversies, statements and debates about the relevance of his figure in a Spanish rap that he helped furnish with Violadores del Verso. The answer? His latest album: “Straitjacket” (El Pan de Aliyah/ Altafonte, 26) is an explosive Pandora’s box where the man from Zaragoza directly addresses the critics and haters, but also his army of fans.
“This Mirror Weighs A Ton” (Partisan/Virgin, 26) is the eighth studio album in Interpol. An album in which the North American band highlights its non-negotiable qualities, but also takes the opportunity to show off certain peculiarities that underline the moment they are currently going through.
After “TEKKNO” (22) redefined its identity and completely changed the scale of the group and after visiting us at the beginning of this year, Electric Callboy they return with “TANZNEID” (Century Media/Sony, 26), an album that once again unapologetically crosses the forcefulness of metal, electronics and pop melodies.
TO La La Love You They still like that feeling of sneaking into the rehearsal room, without rushing, and banging drumsticks until they leave there with a song that tells a new piece of their story. And several of those appear in “Why are you looking at me like that?” (Subterfuge, 26).
There are bands that build an identity and spend the rest of their career protecting it. Mastodon They have chosen another path. With a history marked by changes, losses and reinventions, those from Atlanta continue to move forward with one idea: never repeat the same journey. AND “Marrow Deep” (Lova Vista/ Music As Usual, 26) is a good sample. They chat about the new album with none other than Anxela Baltar (guitar and vocals in BALA).
A collaboration album is not easy at all. Only a band with an identity as solid as that of Cupid You can afford it and have something as special as it is come out. “Shared Love” (Sony Music, 2026). A collaborative piece in which the group’s particular poison seeps strongly into the blood of other artists to continue being the owners of everything.
It is difficult to define Twenty-one. With “The art of losing” (23) were consecrated, with “The Ballad of Delirium and Balance” (25) we discover a much more conceptual facet of those from Toledo. Now, with “The Last Dance of Delirium and Balance” (Warner, 26), we find a much more experimental Twenty-One.
Luislo, Omar and Beni, that is, Cantamarta They have just published their third work, “The most violent corner” (Rhymes, 26). A direct, conceptual album, created in just a few months, that works as an x-ray of pending conversations.
