The Altaveu Awards 2026 recognize Els Pets, Remei de Ca la Fresca, Periferia, A Contra Blues, Arnau Obiols, Great Canyon Records and the LEM Festival.
Els Pets They will receive the Altaveu Lifetime Achievement Award for their forty years of career and Remei de Ca la Fresca, the Alça la Veu for their commitment and positioning on social problems. Although each of the awards has its specific reason.
The ceremony will be held on Tuesday, September 8, at 8:00 p.m., for the first time in the Ateneu Santboia (Av. Maria Girona, 2, Sant Boi de Llobregat) and will kick off a new edition of the Altaveu, which will once again turn Sant Boi into a meeting point for historical voices, new generations and projects with their own perspective on music.
There are a total of seven recognitions for different ways of understanding and making music grow. The winners are:
-TOrnau Obiols He receives the Altaveu Prize for his ability to reconnect roots music and Pyrenean tradition with contemporary sound experimentation, building a deeply personal language.
–Periphery They are recognized for a career built from honesty, community and the road, making rock from the margins a space for expression.

–Against Blues They receive the award after twenty years and more than 900 concerts, a long-standing career that has made them benchmarks of European blues and rock.
–Great Canyon Records celebrates its tenth anniversary, consolidated as an independent label with its own identity, international vocation and a determined commitment to long-term artistic development.
-He LEM Festivalpromoted by Gràcia Territori Sonor, is recognized for more than three decades defending experimental and avant-garde music and other ways of understanding musical creation.
-The Speaker 2026 Lifetime Achievement Award goes to Els Petswho celebrate forty years as one of the most emblematic bands of Catalan rock, with songs and melodies that have spanned generations and are now part of our musical history.
–Remei from Ca la Fresca They receive the special Raise the Voice award for their combative and provocative spirit and for a commitment that has led them to openly position themselves against social, political and environmental problems.
The awards, decided by a jury made up of Alicia Rodríguez, Irene Desumbila, Vicente Merino, Sergi Núñez, Joan S. Luna and Lorena Montónrecognize artists, trajectories, initiatives and professionals who contribute to enriching and transforming the country’s musical culture.
The Awards kick off this year’s Altaveu. Two days later, on Thursday, September 10 at 10 p.m., in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, the Altaveu will host “Cinquanta anys de llibertat”, a special show to mark the fifty years of the historic Diada of 1976 in Sant Boi. Lluís Gavaldà and Joan Pau Chaves, Mushkaa & Greta, Els Amics de les Arts, David Carabén, Joan Garriga, Ismael Serrano, Maria Hein, Naim Smaili, Pastora and more artists will reinterpret songs linked to collective memory and make them dialogue with their own creations. transmitter of memory, freedom and democratic values.
From September 10 to 13, the 37th edition will continue with a program that includes Los Sírex, Dan Peralbo i el Comboi, 091, La Perra Blanco, Señor Chinarro, Arnau Obiols, Syd de Palma, Juana Everett, Kris Tena, CARLAPEREZVAS, Silvio and Jordi Ganchitos, in addition to the winners of the Altaveu Frontera, Leyre Estruch and Duatizz, and the activities of the Altaveu+, the Record and Musical Book Fair and the Altaveu as a Family.
