Ya está en la calle el número de junio de Mondo Sonoro

The June issue of Mondo Sonoro is now on the streets

Today, Thursday, we began the distribution of our copies for the month of June. An issue that has the Galician women on the cover Cassandra Rows on the occasion of the release of his magnificent album “Tetertulia”.

“TERTULIA” (Altafonte, 26) is, in addition to the second full-length Cassandra Rowsan invitation to go out into the fresh air, spread out the hammock and let yourself be carried away by a precise combination of popular music, elegant electronic music and a message as simple as it is accurate. A gathering requires good listening, so let’s do it in the face of so much chatter.

The now legendary Galician band Bizarre Love Triangle returns to the scene with “My cathedral” (Sonido Muchacho, 26), an album with the house’s trademark scorching essence, but that also opens some cracks to let in some light. And if that wasn’t enough, it includes several pieces that are instant classics.

Let’s let everything flow and turn up the volume until we fry our brains. “Ö” (Ninja Tune/(PIAS), 26), the debut of Fcukershas become an oasis of disconnection that enters alone, like one of those chill parties at home in which even the hangover the next day is worth it.

There is no doubt that Chris Isaac He is a legend, whether we keep him more or less present in our daily lives. To this we must add that, when he takes the stage, his charisma is displayed like a peacock whose charm goes beyond the physical. Now we can meet again with his live performance.

Javi Ferrara’s expressive vehicle is back with “Myths and legends” (Raso Estudio, 26), fourth work of Parksvr in which they delve into their unique sound and an increasingly personal vision of life.

“No one with that name lives here.” (Canción Muralla/Esmerarte, 26), a phrase taken from “My Father’s House” from Bruce Springsteen’s “Nebraska”, titles the first album with solo songs by Guille Galvanthe guitarist and composer of Vetusta Morla, after several soundtracks and a couple of poetry collections.

Talk about The Sticker is talking about movement. Two decades as a reference for the sound of festivals, rumba, and miscegenation, and more than a dozen albums, thousands of concerts and a way of understanding music always in transit. But even the most established inertia needs to stop. Look back. Order. Decide where to go. From there it is born “Fires of the Neighborhood” (Calaverita Records, 26), his eleventh album, an album that starts from a simple idea: return home.

The only good thing about group splits like black midi is that they ensure new individual careers.
It was not the initial plan of the young Cameron Picton, who is now publishing his brilliant debut “My New Band Believe” (Rough Trade/ Popstock!, 26), under that same name. In addition, he has sold out all the seats for his concerts in our country.

Emilia, Pardo and Bazan they return with “What happened to the plans we made last night when we were drunk?” (Mushroom Pillow, 26), an empathetic title that corresponds to their third album, with which the band from Talavera de la Reina continues to shape their artistic personality.

So far everything that concerns the most extensive interviews, although you can also find content from other artists such as Angine de Poitrine, Admire, Nil Moliner, Cam Cole, Social Distortion or Dorian. Not forgetting the usual sections dedicated to reviews of albums, comics, books, series, movies or podcasts. And, like every month, here you have our renewed playlist with the contents of the month. Good reading!
