Composer Yoly Saa’s career is versatile. The Galician artist based in Madrid – she sang on the Metro when she arrived in the city – has written songs for Malú (‘Deshielo’, ‘Salvar al rey’), has sung on albums by Veintiuno, Nil Moliner and Ainoa Buitrago, and has participated in Benidorm Fest (‘No se me forget’).
Today, May 27, he presents his latest songs at El Sol de Madrid as part of the Escenarios Madrid by Vibra Mahou programming. Sara Gimeno will be the opening act and tickets are on sale.
Yoly Saa’s specialty is timeless pop-rock, permeable to other influences such as electronics, as we saw in her collaboration with Khotton Palm: ‘No se me forget’ could have been a London Grammar production. However, despite his time on television, this has not remained his most popular song. In reality it is just an anecdote in a career that has seen many other “highlights.”
Aside from his well-known collaborations, the bolero-tinged ballad ‘Everything with you’ has 9 million streams on Spotify. ‘Rendición’ and ‘Galicia’ also had good reception, both marked in one way or another by their land of origin.
After two albums titled ‘A blows of faith’ (2022) – this included ‘Galicia’ – and ‘Mar de Ardora’ (2025) – this included ‘No se me forget’ -, Yoly Saa has continued to publish single singles. For example ‘There is no one like mom’, which includes audios of it. For example ‘Take it Away’, outlined by some indie pop guitar plucking and some country guitars and violins. Or for example ‘Hoy no ya’, a more uptempo song that will surely liven up your concert tonight… almost more than ‘No se me forget’.
