Quevedo devastates all of ‘El Baifo’; Fangoria, top 3

Quevedo is the undisputed number 1 in Spain with his notable album ‘El Baifo’. Not only is the album top 1 in our country, as were his two previous albums, but all of its 14 new songs are among the top 20 singles. He leads the collaboration with Elvis Crespo, bringing the author of ‘Suavemente’ back to the fore. The album’s 14 tracks enter the singles chart in this order:

1.-La graciosa, with Elvis Crespo
2.-To the beat
3.-Whimsical
4.-El Baifo
5.-Something is going to happen, with La Pantera, Lucho RK, Juseph
6.-Scandic
7.-Gáldar, with Tonny Tun Tun
8.-Not even drunk
9.-2010ypico
10.-He is at home
11.-Hookah and heat
13.-Son of a volcano, with Los gofiones
15.-Flakito
17.-My balcony

However, since there is no physical edition, ‘El Baifo’ has not been directly certified as a gold or platinum record, as Rosalía’s ‘LUX’ easily achieved, which achieved similar streaming figures.

The streaming strength of Quevedo’s 14 new songs leaves Fangoria out of the fight for number 1 in our country. But anyway, they wouldn’t have achieved it without Quevedo, because Omar Courtz rises from position 3 to position 2 with ‘In case I’m not here tomorrow’. The duo formed by Alaska and Nacho Canut is at official number 3 in Spain with ‘The Truth and the Imagination’.

Fangoria have been number 1 in Spain with 6 of their albums: ‘Absolutamente’, ‘Cuatricromía’, ‘Songs for romantic robots’ and several EP’s and compilations. This is the first time they have not achieved it with a studio album since ‘The Strange Journey’ (2006).

There are several more entries in the top 20: Trueno comes in at number 10 with ‘Turr4zo’, Noah Kahan comes in at number 13 with ‘The Great Divide’, the ‘Michael’ soundtrack comes in at number 14 and Foo Fighters come in at number 19 with ‘Your Favorite Toy’.
A very modest entry by Dave Grohl in tune with the American (top 23) or the French (top 22). Where the album has performed best has been in the UK and Germany (top 2).

The list of entries for the week closes with ‘Live at LA Sports Arena, 1975’ by Pink Floyd, at 86. Although we can also highlight the re-entry of Amaia with ‘Si abro los ojos no es real’ thanks to the good reception of her Tiny Desk (top 54) or that of Rodrigo Cuevas with ‘Manual de beauty’ (top 74).
