The finalists of the Rock Villa de Madrid Awards revealed

The five finalists of the Rock Villa de Madrid Awards will perform next May 15 within the framework of the San Isidro 2026 Festivities.

The forty-sixth edition of the Madrid Rock Villa Awards already has its five finalists, who will perform and compete for the awards on Next May 15 in the Vistilla Gardens of the capitalwithin the framework of the San Isidro Festivities 2026and which will later have Camels as a guest artist.

This year’s first finalist is the band Dura Calawith a proposal that combines alternative pop with live energy and a clear dance vocation. It follows Carmen Lillowhich mixes the delicacy of her voice with the energy of electronics and urban rhythms. The following is the Galician-Argentine Catuxa Salomwhich works at the intersection between indigenous Argentine rhythms, Galician folklore and contemporary electronic production. Afterwards, the band Dear Joannewhich have punk, garage, new wave and power pop influences, and features a collaboration with Carlangas. And finally, Jikea rock band made up of four eighteen-year-old boys.

All finalists are eligible for the following awards: €6,000 in cash for first prize, €3,000 for second, €1,000 for third and two second prizes of 500 euros. In addition, they will also be eligible for two other awards: the Radio 3 Award, which consists of recording the Radio 3 Concerts, and the AIE Award for best performer, which will allow the winner to participate in the first cycle of AIEnRuta Artistas 2027.

For more than four decades, the contest has closely followed the evolution of our music, promoting numerous artists who later established themselves in the Spanish music scene. Among them: Kaka de Luxe, Paradise, Howitzer, The Nikis, Arias Demolitions, Glutamato Yeye, The Enemies, The Border, Carminha News either Biznaga. Although its name is still linked to rock, indie, electronic, pop and urban music proposals coexist in the event, a reflection of the sound diversity of the society of this century.
