Mike D recovers Beastie Boys songs with his children in a surprise concert

Mike D. surprised the audience by performing some of the songs from Beastie Boys together with his children, the band Very Nice Personin California.

The founding member of Beastie Boys surprised the public with a surprise appearance at the band’s concert Very Nice Personon April 11. The group, which is made up of Mike D’s children, Skyker and Davis Diamondhad announced that this same concert would feature a very special guest, so rumors immediately arose that it could be related to Beastie Boys. Upon taking the stage, Mike D performed the hit “So What’cha Want” from the album “Check Your Head” from 1992, as well as “Looking Down The Barrel Of A Gun” from the album “Paul’s Boutique” from 1989.

The venue’s owners shared a post on Instagram with the message “What a night! We had the pleasure of hosting Very Nice Person with special surprise guest Mike D at the Ojai Woman’s Club on Saturday! Thanks for joining us.”

This surprise performance comes shortly after Beastie Boys released a deluxe reissue of their 2004 album, “To The Five Boroughs,” and just after Mike D also joined Very Nice Person on stage in Malibu for a performance of “So What’cha Want.”
