Anabel Lee join forces with none other than get lost to face “Eterno Parque Galván”, a new single that will be part of what will be their third full-length album.
The Terrasa band presents this raw and honest song from one of the most established pop rock bands in Spain, embracing the most uncomfortable side of couple relationships. With this song, both groups reach an intermediate point in which both universes fit perfectly.
“Eterno Parque Galván” is the first preview of what will be the third full-length album by the Catalan band based in Madrid, which will be published by Vanana Records sometime next fall. It will be the next step in a career that includes jobs “Anabel Lee” (21), “Lost Generation EP” (21) and “We win by losing” (23). The song has been recorded, produced, mixed and mastered by Pau Paredes.
Regarding this collaboration, Despistaos say: “We have always been open to collaborations, even before they were so fashionable. Of course, the song had to tell us something and Eterno Parque Galván has that something that made the first time we heard it a resounding yes. It is a guitar song, which excites with a great melody. You can’t ask for more from a song.”
Inspired by the Enrique Tierno Galván Park in Madrid, although it can be extrapolated to any city, the song captures that strange intimacy that arises in public spaces when everything turns off. “Madrid is repeating the same memory until you break it. It is staying in a park when no one is there without knowing very well when to leave,” explains the group, which builds here a circular, almost obsessive narrative, where the past is relived until it loses its meaning. Far from epic or redemption, “Eterno Parque Galván” is presented as an exercise in acceptance and honesty. The chorus, with that “come back to me” repeated like a mantra, is nothing more than a staging of pain.
The video clip, available on their YouTube channel, has been made by two of the members of Anabel Lee, Victor and Perdicombining reality and animation and with the participation of the members of Anabel Lee and Despistaos.
