The band from Gijón Russian Doll has released “El club de los hypocritas”, a new indie rock single accompanied by a video clip that serves as a preview of his debut, “Soviet Year”planned for June 19, 2026.
The song runs through ironic lyrics for just a minute and a half in which the band’s message goes straight to the point. A critique of the contemporary double standard that pushes us to judge others despite our own contradictions.
His speech is accompanied by an indie rock that finds its best expression in the guitars, the direct pulse, and the punk attitude. With an immediate chorus and a forceful structure, the song, produced by Igor Paskual and Andrey Fomchenkois presented as a criticism of appearances and constant judgment, sarcastically addressing a very widespread dynamic. The video clip transfers these themes into direct and confrontational visual language with a nineties feel.
The release coincides with a moment of internal change for the band, which began to consolidate itself as a quintet with the incorporation of Verónica Gutiérrez García (choirs and keyboards), and prepares to launch his first albumwhich they are developing as a phased build in which each single works autonomously.
