The musician based in Donostia Flavio Banterla is back with the first preview of his next album,
“I WANT YOU TO LOVE ME MORE”.
Flavio Banterla returns to the scene with “Dejarme Caer”, a single that not only marks the beginning of his new recording stage, but also acts as a personal manifesto as he turns 50. This new song, which we present to you exclusively, is a visual and emotional journey that travels through the lights of Donostia, to unravel in the personal depths of the author.
About “DejarmeCatch” he tells us that “it is born from silence and the obvious need to let go of control. With a production that rests on the elegance of the piano and the warmth of the synthesizers, the piece evokes the sensitivity of references such as Franco Battiato. However, the initial calm is only the prelude to an expansive ending with post-rock overtones, where the instrumental intensity underlines the revelation of half a century of personal journey.”
The video clip, directed by Aitor Arrutirealistically captures that atmosphere of urban and interior silence, of refuge. Shot in Donostia, the piece functions as a rite of passage: a visual introspection that unfolds as a deep desire and a clear decision: to abandon oneself and let oneself be carried away by the waves. The film culminates with an intimate and revealing closing that connects the artistic work with the warmth of the author’s most personal reality, celebrating life in the most honest way possible.
With a career marked by the inner gaze and the inevitable manifestation of his own sound, Flavio Bánterla debuted in 2018 with the album “Mystic Pop” (Warner / BMG) followed in 2022 by his second work “I” (Great Sun / BMG). Now he releases “Let me fall” (self-produced), the first stone of “I WANT YOU TO LOVE ME MORE”an album that promises to be his most conscious work to date and to consolidate him in 2026 as one of the most unique voices in author pop.
