Radar Madrid will be a new music market whose main reason for life is to internationalize Spanish talent and do so with the support of institutions and all agents of the cultural fabric. It will take place throughout the October 19, 20 and 21 at the Movistar Arena in Madrid

More than fifty international professionals will attend (Europe, Latin America, Asia and Canada) and representatives from the United States, a country that will be the special guest of this first edition.
Within the framework of this launch, the opening of the call for artists for its showcase program was also announced, which will be held in La Sala del Movistar Arena. A unique opportunity to present your music live in front of a qualified audience of key professionals from the global music industry. Registrations are now available through the official website (radar.madrid).
For three days, the meeting will offer a program designed to promote professional exchange and collaboration between actors in the sector, with a focus on the live and singing businesses. Aimed at promoting international opportunities, facilitating access to stages and festivals, developing new audiences and generating synchronization opportunities outside the Spanish market.
will include panels, listening sessions, speed meetings, workshops, networking spaces and showcases of national artists, along with the participation of music supervisors, festivals, booking agents and promoters, among others, consolidating itself as a strategic platform for connecting Spanish talent and the global industry.
The official launch of Radar Madrid took place this Tuesday at the Albéniz Theater in Madrid, in an institutional event that was attended by Mariano de Paco Serrano, Minister of Culture, Tourism and Sports of the Community of Madrid, and Miguel Ángel Garrido, director of Charco and Radar Madrid. The event was presented by Javier Lorbada and included a live performance by Carmen Lancho.
“The Community of Madrid has established itself as the main reference for the music industry due to its capacity to generate economic impact, tourist activity, employment and cultural projection,” highlighted the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Sports, Mariano de Paco Serrano, during his speech at the presentation of the project, pointing out that “the launch of Radar Madrid represents a great opportunity to mark an appointment on the calendar with the best talent in this industry, and give support and visibility to Spanish talent.”
For his part, Miguel Ángel Garrido, after thanking all the participating entities, highlighted that Radar Madrid was created for artists, at a time when “music in Spanish is experiencing a moment that was previously unthinkable. International festivals have headliners who sing in Spanish, when before we were relegated as something exotic.” He also highlighted the importance of Madrid in the global Spanish-language music industry, which is why the city needed an event like Radar Madrid. “All artists, whether to record or close a deal, pass through here. Important decisions are made in Madrid in the music industry,” he explained.
This initiative reinforces Charco’s commitment, together with the Community of Madrid, to the development of the music industry, betting on the creation of spaces that promote the internationalization of talent, strengthen relationships between markets and generate economic and cultural impact in the city.
