The Lord.Cah Boy, beyond his curious name, is just a breath away from finding his audience. After a few years of little activity on platforms, he has returned with a powerful single. ‘CABALLITO BLANCO’ mixes the worlds of urban and folk with a perfect amount of cockiness.
The artist’s face will be familiar to you if you know Travis Birds, her sister. If you are also a fan of his music, you will find a different world in El Niño’s project Lord.Cah, one full of irreverent lyrics and humor. Their latest single, ‘CABALLITO BLANCO’, mixes flamenco with rock in a song full of contrasts. In the chorus, the artist’s voice is sweet and melodic. In the verses, it is pure impudence.
“Don’t give me any more pressure because I don’t have any gas left to hold it up” or “I have tiny feet, if I get tired I’ll be carried away” are some of the pearls that the artist drops during the song. However, in the chorus, it paints a dreamlike, almost mythological image: “I have a little white horse that doesn’t have a horseshoe / It has a golden horn and on its back it carries me flying through the sky.”
Their live performance is not short on emotion either. El Niño Lord.Cah is in the middle of a tour, led by Girando Por Salas, which has already taken her to Toledo, Pamplona and Valencia. Today, Friday, April 24, the artist will be at the Botánico Café Teatro de Soria. There are only two more dates left after this: May 9 in San Sebastián and May 23 in Sant Feliu de Llobregat.
