Graham Coxon (Blur) announces “Castle Park”, his unreleased album recorded in 2011

Known for his role in blur, Graham Coxonhas announced the launch of “Castle Park”an unreleased album recorded in 2011 that will be released for the first time on June 19.

The album, produced by Ben Hillier, was recorded during the sessions of “A+E” (2012) and was originally intended to be its sequel. However, the project was shelved due to Blur’s activity at the time, until now.

As a preview, Coxon has shared the single “Billy Says”, a song that many fans already knew from his live shows and which finally has an official version. The album will be made up of ten songs that recover their characteristic mod sound with indie overtones.

The launch of “Castle Park” It also marks the beginning of an ambitious reissue of his entire solo catalog, which will be deployed over the next twelve months. This first phase will also include the new editions of “The Sky Is Too High” (1998) and “The Golden D” (2000), two key works in his career.

In parallel, the British musician will offer a special concert on November 28 at the O2 Forum Kentish Town, which will be his first live show with a full band in more than a decade.

With this release, Graham Coxon recovers a lost piece of his discography and reaffirms his profile as one of the most restless guitarists and composers of his generation, capable of moving between alternative pop, experimentation and work for film and television.
