Kylie Minogue will be the star of a new documentary titled ‘KYLIE’, which will review her long career and personal life and can be seen on Netflix on a date yet to be announced.
‘KYLIE’ will follow Minogue’s evolution from her beginnings as an actress in the series ‘Neighbours’ to becoming one of the most influential figures in global pop: from ‘The Loco-Motion’ to (hopefully) the ageism-defying success of ‘Padam Padam’.
The film will also address her personal challenges, presumably the breast cancer she faced two decades ago that kept her away from the stage, as well as other topics such as media pressure and personal losses.
The production, structured in three parts, has been directed by Michael Harte and will feature Minogue herself, as well as the artist’s personal archives, such as home videos, unpublished photographs and the testimonies of her sister, Dannii Minogue, and collaborators such as Nick Cave and Jason Donovan, among others.
‘KYLIE’ is not the first documentary about Kylie Minogue; In 2007, ‘White Diamond: A Personal Portrait of Kylie Minogue’ was released, a film that portrayed Minogue’s life during her ‘Showgirl: Homecoming Tour’, which marked her return to the stage after overcoming her cancer.
