Amaia, new protagonist of the Tiny Desk concerts

Amaia has become the new Spanish protagonist of the American Tiny Desk concerts. The Navarrese performs six songs accompanied by her usual musicians.

Amaia joins artists like Guitarricadelafuente, Rusowsky, C. Tangana –in its “Home” version– or Maria Jose Llergo regarding Spanish names that have performed at the popular concerts NPR’s Tiny Desk. And all this apart from the incredible list of international musicians who have signed performances to remember.

On this occasion, the one from Pamplona has performed six songs, being “C’est La Vie”, “Nanai”, “Auxiliar” and “Giratutto” those that are part of “If I Open My Eyes It’s Not Real”, his latest album released in 2025. In addition, he has also dared with a mashup from “Zorongo Gitano” and “Rumores de la Caleta”. The artist ends with “Yamaguchi”, taken from her second album “When I Don’t Know Who I Am“To perform this repertoire, the Navarrese is accompanied by her usual musicians Victor Martinez, Luis Martinez, Anika, Zazo, Pedro Campos and April Sauri.

Tiny Desk concerts are a format that has helped boost artistic careers, a great example being Ca7riel and Paco Amorosoand in which artists of the stature of Dua Lipa, Sabrina Carpenter, Coldplay, either Justin Timberlake.
