The appetizer of Bilbao BBK Live, Herrianmoves this year to Durango with almost fifteen performances on May 30.
Herrian Since 2023, it has been extending the cultural enjoyment and participation of the Bilbao BBK Live to different municipalities in Bizkaia, presenting itself as a free, open and sustainable access proposal that decentralizes the festival programming and generates value for local communities.
Herrian’s event in Durango on May 30 will offer daytime, free access programming designed for all audiences. Prominent names such as the leaders of state rock will perform there, Women; one of the most forceful voices of national rap, Holy Salut; indie classics, The Rebel Strawberries; the iconic Biscayan alternative metal group Pi LT; the new sensation of the Basque scene, GAR; garage unloading Wow and the Arrrghs!!!; the Valencian ñunk band, Bad Management; a promising Basque pop project, Eider; the versatility of the former Chill Mafia Kiliki; the electro-triki-pop of Heitxi; the timeless soul of Mississippi Queen & The Wet Dogs; the confessional crudeness of Olatz Salvador; the fun ones Oslo UFOs; and the revealing Amaiurtxu.
The three stages that will host the programming will be located in Plaza Ezkurdi, Parque Benita Uribarrena and Parque Ibaizabal. If the weather is not good, the activity will be moved to other spaces. This open and sustainable proposal favors intergenerational coexistence, makes visible both established and emerging talent and reinforces the idea that culture makes sense where it generates community.
In this way, the streets of Bizkaia will be filled with music for another year in May and June as a prelude to the 20th anniversary of Bilbao BBK Live which, for its part, will be held on July 9, 10 and 11 in Kobetamendi. In addition, a special price for festival tickets will be available during the Herrian Durango celebration.
