The singles list of the week in Spain leaves two significant news: Jay Wheeler’s number 1 and the “Bieberchella” effect.
‘De lejitos’ is the song by Jay Wheeler that unseats ‘Koko’, by Omar Courtz, from number 1, pushing it to number 2. A fairly random reggaeton-club song, or at least it seems that way at first, but which includes interesting synthetic arrangements and changes of rhythm.
Justin Bieber is the second big star of the week on the singles chart, since, after his much-discussed performance at Coachella, several songs from his catalog return to the chart, as has already happened in other countries and streaming lists.
The good data of ‘Beauty and the Beat’ stands out, a single from 2012, which has re-engaged fans and registers its first entry, 14 years later, in position 13. It is an entry that also belongs to Nicki Minaj, guest artist.
‘Beauty and the Beat’, still number 1 globally on Spotify, is the big beneficiary of Coachella and returns to other European lists such as the United Kingdom (11), Germany (13) and the Netherlands (16).
Then we find two more entries: ‘Baby’, in ’59, and ‘Eenie Meenie’, with Sean Kingston, in ’83, in addition to several re-entries: ‘Sorry’, in ’81, and ‘Love Yourself’, in ’90. The Coachella effect also leaves the return to the list of ‘Manchild’, by Sabrina Carpenter, in ’93.
As for news for 2026, in addition to Jay Wheeler, we must mention ‘You need two’, by Manuel Turizo, which debuts at number 85.
