Switzerland and Poland join the list of European countries that have decided to cancel Kanye West’s concerts announced in their respective territories, as part of the European tour of his new album ‘Bully’, citing his past anti-Semitic statements.
Swiss soccer club FC Basel announced its decision to reject a performance request from West in June, stating that “We cannot, in accordance with our values, offer a platform to the artist concerned in this context,” in statements reported by The Guardian.
The Silesian Stadium in Chorzów, Poland, has issued a similar report: “Ye’s (Kanye West) concert, scheduled for June 19, 2026 at the Superauto.pl Silesian Stadium, will not take place due to formal and legal reasons.” Previously, Poland’s Minister of Culture, Marta Cienkowska, had opposed West’s presence, pointing out that the “promotion of Nazism” is in “manifest contradiction with Polish values.”
It seems that the development of Kanye West’s European tour is hanging in the balance, although confirmed dates in Türkiye, the Netherlands, Italy, Madrid and Portugal remain in place.
The previously canceled concerts correspond to dates in the United Kingdom, which vetoed West’s entry into the country, resulting in the total cancellation of the Wireless Festival, where he was headlining, and in Marseille, France.
