Morrissey announces concerts in Barcelona and Madrid

Morrissey has announced that this July he will perform in Madrid and Barcelona with Primavera Sound and SFMusic. The British artist will be on July 25 at the Poble Espanyol, as part of the Barts Festival concert series, and on July 29 at the Movistar Arena, returning to both cities more than a decade later.

After the cancellation of his concert at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía in Valencia on the same day of its celebration, last March 12, Morrissey gave a surprise by announcing new shows in two of the largest venues in the country. This will continue with the presentation tour of ‘Make-up is a Lie’. General ticket sales will open on the Primavera Sound website this Friday, April 24 at 10 a.m.

“The concert scheduled for tonight in Valencia has been made impossible due to lack of sleep,” said the statement collected by Heraldo. The media said that the vocalist had traveled from Milan to Valencia driving for two days and that he had not been able to sleep in his hotel due to “the noise of the festival.” This version was corroborated by El Periódico.
