Ca7riel and Paco Amoroso visited La Revuelta tonight, “my love” (as Catriel would say using her favorite tagline). It is the second time that the Buenos Aires duo goes to David Broncano’s set; On this occasion, the excuse was the presentation of his album ‘Free Spirits’, and the interview included a curious cameo by Angy Fernández, who witnessed the talk from the box.
But the peculiarity of Ca7riel and Paco Amoroso may have overwhelmed David Broncano. And it is rare for him to be perceived as being surpassed by a guest, but the entire interview has been strangely marked by short answers and awkward silences. Ca7riel and Paco Amoroso, on the one hand, and Broncano, on the other, have tried to tune in to their respective senses of humor, but things have not quite come together, not even with the interventions of Grisón and Ricardo Castella joking about the episode’s lack of direction.
And it’s not that there has been a lack of attempts to get the conversation going: Ca7riel has used sexual jokes, appealing to the taste of semen or playing a guitar riff so brief that he titled it ‘Premature Ejaculation’, or claiming his mentor, Sting. Both, dressed somewhat like mad scientists, armed with a tube dripping with water, have thrown tickets at the audience, have exhibited their flexibility and have followed the game of a Broncano less prepared than usual, who resorted to uninspired comic tricks. Or perhaps Ca7riel and Paco Amoroso have not managed to shake off a certain tension and seriousness, despite the lightheartedness and fun of their album.
