VillaSoundBilbao 2026 concerts begin

On the weekends of April 17 and 24, the four days of the VI edition of VillaSoundBilbaothe initiative of the Bilbao City Council for the training and promotion of emerging young bands from Euskadi and Navarra.

After the registration phase closed on February 17, the first phase continues (VSB Fest) of the VillaSoundBilbao with performances by the 12 bands or soloists selected by the jury. As a novelty, this edition will hold its concerts during two consecutive weekends in Bilborockspecifically on April 17, 18, 24 and 25. Each of these days (Friday and Saturday) 3 of the selected bands/soloists will perform: Niere (Bizkaia), Cold Jane (Nafarroa) and Izena (Bizkaia) on the first date; Haritz Olaeta (Bizkaia), June Meow (Nafarroa) and Neiffer (Bizkaia) in the second; lazykidd (Bizkaia), Laps. (Bizkaia) and Karizia Mustard (Gipuzkoa) in the third; and Uxue Kerejeta (Gipuzkoa), Anne Martija (Nafarroa) and gar (Bizkaia) in the fourth and last. These concerts will be free and open until capacity is reached.

In the second phase (VSB MENTORING)six of the twelve bands/soloists will be selected to, on the one hand, participate in a personalized mentoring program (taught by renowned professionals) and, on the other, participate in a study session. The third phase (VSB TOUR)one of the 6 bands will be selected for a tour of three paid concerts within the concert cycle They are Estrella Galicia. The announcement will be made during a free event to be held on Saturday, May 2 in Bilborock, with the participation of a renowned band. The rest of the groups/soloists selected by the jury for various performances will also be announced (see below), in addition to those awarded with the recording of a video clip at the Bilborock rehearsal facilities within their “Lokal Sessions” program.

These are the prizes to be distributed:
· A tour of 3 concerts, within the Son Estrella Galicia cycle and halls, for one of the groups or soloists, selected by Son Estrella Galicia. The performances will be paid.
· A collective mentoring for the 12 groups or soloists selected by the Jury on various aspects of the music industry.
· A personalized mentoring for 6 groups or soloists selected by the Jury with an A&R and/or manager, and a study session.
· A performance in Aste Nagusia, at the local Pop-Rock Exhibition, for a group/soloist from Bizkaia selected by the Jury
· A performance in a Musika Bulegoa partner venue and €1,000 + VAT in expenses for a group/soloist selected by Musika Bulegoa.
· A performance at BIME Live for a group/soloist
· A performance at an urban music event in 2026, organized by Fundación SGAE.
