Standstill face a new stage with “Life and work of a puppeteer”

Stand still begin a new stage with “Life and work of a puppeteer”but in this case we are not talking about an album – or not yet –, but rather it is a graphic novel written by Enric Montefusco and illustrated by Oriol García Quera.

Enric Montefuscovocalist and leader of the band Standstill, and cartoonist Oriol García Querawith a long history in historical comics, have joined forces to shape a graphic novel that is much more than that. It is the explanation through vignettes and illustrations of the reasons for the dissolution and return of the Barcelona group thirteen years after its dissolution.

It is a poetic work full of both intimate and universal symbolism, with contemporary references, so that we understand in depth what the group wants to tell us through more than eighty pages. The comic works at the same time autonomously and also complementary to the return of Standstill.

“Life and work of a puppeteer” will be released on May 28 from the publisher Astiberrione of the most prestigious dedicated to comics in our country, and will be the perfect prelude to the group’s new album that will be released next fall. In the comic we will discover the keys that will appear in some moments of the band’s new album material.
