The third season of ‘Euphoria’ will arrive this Monday, April 13 on HBO. Labrinth, composer of the series during its first two seasons, seemed to confirm last month that he would not be involved in this new batch of episodes, telling Columbia Records and the series itself “to hell” in the process. Now, he has made it clear that it will not be part of the credits: “I have decided to eliminate the music that I had in the series.”
It all happened following a new interview with Sam Levinson, creator of ‘Euphoria’, in Rolling Stone. In this, Levinson claims not to know the reasons why Labrinth has separated from the project: “He is an incredible collaborator and someone who has really built the foundations of the sound of ‘Euphoria’,” commented the showrunner.
In his Instagram Stories, Labrinth has been blunt: “People lie comfortably in this industry and still call themselves honest people.” He claims to be on good terms with HBO, but points out that the origin of everything lies in a personal brawl with Sam Levinson: “When I work for someone, their vision is paramount to me, but I don’t let people treat me like shit,” he wrote. In this new season, Hans Zimmer will take over in the musical section.
Labrinth shares new statement after Sam Levinson told Rolling Stone that he “doesn’t know” why he isn’t involved with ‘Euphoria’ Season 3:
“I SPOKE TO HBO AS FAR AS I KNOW WE ARE COOL
I LEFT BECAUSE
LAST TRUTH
WHEN I WORK FOR SOMEONE, THEIR VISION IS PARAMOUNT TO ME
