The Japanese band BUNhas announced a Spanish tour during which he will present what will be his new work, “Snowdrop”. We will see them in Barcelona, Valencia, Madrid and Donosti.
We only need to read the sentence stated by the British music magazine NME: “This is music for the gods”, to understand who we are talking about. From Beethoven and Morricone until Sonic Youth and My Bloody Valentinethe Japanese group established itself as a highly prestigious band in its first decade of life.
Among the different members of the group we find Takaakira “Tata” Goto and Hideki “Yoda” Suematsu, who alternate their role as electric guitar with small interventions on the carillon. Although in the beginning the drummer was Yasunori Takada, since 2018 it is Dahm Majuri Cipolla who holds the role of percussion in the group. However, it is Tamaki Kunishi, who, starting from his role as bassist, combines it by playing the electric guitar, the piano and the carillon.
Their spectacular live performance has made MONO a draw that has led them to go on various world tours, traveling through more than seventy countries.
The Japanese group has not only been recognized for its concerts; They have also worked creating soundtracks for different occasions. His signature is present in different works such as the short film “Where We Begin” and feature films “The 4th Company” and “All God’s Children Can Dance”being the reason for different awards and nominations.
The next June 12MONO will release their next album. “Snowdrop”serving as a tribute to the legacy of Albini (who died in May 2024), and starting a new creative chapter, moving from the purest pain to the best feeling of gratitude.
