“Debon sings Suau” It will be an album in the form of a project that heads Pau Debonknown as singer of Antonia Fontand that will be released next Friday April 24.
Since 1999, Debon has been in charge of giving voice to an entire generation due to his leading role in the group Antònia Font. The Mallorcan group was the creator of great hits in Catalan music such as “Alegria”, “Wa yeah” and “Calgary 88”. After many years of experience, the singer has decided to start a new stage with two friends.
Being one of the most recognized voices in Balearic music, he joins the renowned poet Pere Suau and the composer Antoni Bujosa to create a work that links poetry and music. This new work serves as a symbiotic and artistic exercise, in which the word and the melody become dependent on each other. Its repertoire alternates poems recited by its author with sung pieces or instrumental compositions, resulting in a multifaceted work that highlights Catalan culture.
The ideas of the human condition, landscape and passion are reinforced by an almost minimalist staging. A piano, a sofa, a table and a string quartet are the main characters of a cozy show that floods the heart and mind of the viewer.
