We have a case of “slow week” on the Spanish singles chart this week, even with the outstanding long releases from RAYE, Kanye West, Melanie Martinez and Robyn. Neither placed a single song from their respective new albums on the singles chart, although at least ‘Where is My Husband’ already appeared and continues to be located around the top 50, specifically at number 53, after 18 weeks.
Only three artists feature entries on the Spanish singles chart this week, and the first does not appear until after the top 60 spots. There, at number 61, the Madrid rapper Reality places his single ‘Por Si Muero Tomorrow’, which stands out for its choral chorus, sung by children.
In second place we have the Extremaduran rapper Lucho RK, who with ‘Por qué se’ achieves a top 63 on the Spanish singles chart. The man from Cáceres appears in two other singles on the list, both linked to La Pantera, already old: ‘Cupidoxx’, which drops to 78, and ‘Pinky Promise 2’, which returns to 96.
The last entry is international, specifically Anglo-Saxon, American, and comes from the hand of Dominic Fike, who places his viral ‘Babydoll’ – recent global top 1 on Spotify – at number 88. Fike has just released a single with Ravyn Lenae.
It is worth mentioning that within the top 3 of the Spanish singles chart, Omar Courtz’s rise to position 3 with ‘Koko’ stands out. Courtz threatens the reign of Quevedo, who continues to lead positions 1 and 2 simultaneously, with ‘Scandic’ and ‘Neither drunk’.
