Give me area They continue to spread the faith. A faith in sounds that deviate from the standards and that have earned them. Now they will return to Bilbao to deploy their proposal. Will this be Friday, April 10 at Stage Live.
Dame Area have amply proven their ability to devastate every stage they step on, whatever their size and fur. All the international festivals, fetish clubs and the high-ranking trade press have fallen at their feet, showering Silvia Konstance and Viktor Lux Crux with an overwhelming amount of praise; KEXP has dedicated one of its live shows to them, Quietus and Pitchfork have selected them as album of the week and the BBC has included them in its monthly rotation.
Overflowing with passion, Dame Area’s music combines industrial-tribal rhythms and throwback synths with direct lyrics and flaming messages. With his latest album, “The whole truth about Dame Area”has captured the energy of his live performance, combining metallic percussion from Einstürzende Neubauten with frenetic rhythms, the electronics of Esplendor Geometrico or Suicide, and the inventive structures of Coil or the first Battiato. With these influences, Dame Area has woven its own and very personal form of contemporary industrial that uses tribal polyrhythms and reconstructed elements of minimal synth, post-punk and EBM, unceremoniously proclaiming an artistic identity without compromise.
They will complete the poster Telaraña, the post-punk project by Txarly Usher (La Casa Usher, Los Carniceros del Norte), Orkatz (Fatal Obsesion) and Peibol (Opium Tea)who will present their new album.
