Pulp share their EP with Johnny Cash version on platforms

The British band pulp has published a new EP that includes two unreleased songs and a version of “The Man Comes Around”, by Johnny Cash. The work, which until now could only be purchased as an exclusive vinyl edition through Rough Trade, is now available on streaming platforms.

The EP is made up of three songs that cover the different facets of the band. In “Marrying For Love”, they transport us to their most romantic side, while in “Cold Call On The Hotline” they bet on the irony of a self-critical narrator, who waits unsuccessfully for a response on a sexual hotline. Both songs come from the recording sessions of “More”their first album in twenty-four years, released in 2025.

The release is completed with a version of “The Man Comes Around”, by Johnny Cashwhich appears at a key moment in the British series “The Hack“. In this reinterpretation, the band plays with a more atmospheric approach, showcasing enveloping instrumentation over the vocals of Jarvis Cocker.

Looking ahead to the next few months, Pulp will embark on a tour of the United Kingdom and Europe, which will include their time in Spain as headliners of the Mad Cool Festival from Madrid next July 11.
