Carlangas refers to Jonathan Richman and others in “Parallel Universe”

The Galician artist Carlangas presents “Universo Paralelo”, a mid-tempo rocker with echoes of Lou Reed, Adam Green either Sixto Rodriguez that advances its third album.

This third preview of what will be his third solo album after starting the break with Carminha Newspresents a code closer to rock midtempo: the electricity is not lost, but it approaches an imagery closer to the structure of the melodic song.

In his new work, one can recognize influences that have marked the trajectory of Carlangasfrom “Transformer” Lou Reed even the work of artists like Adam Green, Sixto Rodriguez either Jonathan Richman. In this context, Carlangas presents a romantic serenade that stands out for its soft and expressive style, showing an intimate approach within its musical proposal.

“Universo Paralelo” will be part of what will be his third studio album after the homonymous “Carlangas” and “Ballodrome, Vol. 1”. Furthermore, we have already heard “It could be worse”, with the collaboration of Leivaand “Problems”, along with Dear Joanne.

On the other hand, the Compostela native has just announced new dates for his tour, with performances in The Riviera of Madrid and the Apollo Room of Barcelona in autumn, after passing through several of the most important festivals in the country, such as the O Son do Camiñohe IBFhe Granada Soundhe Cooltural Festhe Arts Festival or the Sonorama Riberaamong some of the first announced.
