Soda Stereo has returned to the stage with “Soda Stereo Ecos”, an immersive show that revives Gustavo Cerati through a hologram. Let us remember that Cerati died in September 2014.
The Argentine band premiered their new show last weekend “Soda Stereo Ecos”, an immersive experience in which the figure of the deceased is revived Gustavo Cerati in format hologramwho acts through the screen with his companions Charly Alberti and Zeta Bosiopresent on stage. The show is conceived as a proposal that combines projections, visual effects and sound design, and that reviews their greatest hits through almost twenty songs such as “Juego de seduction”, “Nothing personal” or “Of light music”.
This show, which premiered for the first time at the Movistar Arena in Buenos Aires with tickets sold in both performances, has divided the opinions of fans. Some describe it as “wonderful,” expressing that it is shocking to see Cerati on stage again, even if it is thanks to technology. Others position themselves against the show, calling it “fraud”and making it clear that Alberti and Bosio They have been profiting from the band’s brand after the death of their vocalist.
Even so, the band has scheduled more than thirty dates around Latin Americawith almost all tickets sold in Argentina, Chile, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Uruguay and Ecuador.
