‘+57’ of Karol G, J Balvin, etc. “Violated” the rights of minors

The State Council of Colombia has declared that ‘+57’, the single of Karol G, J Balvin and Maluma, among others, “violated” the rights of childhood by “sexualizing” the minor population in their letter, reports the Associated Press and collects Billboard Latin.

The court has reasoned that the original letter of ‘+57’ could “reduce to minors to objects of desire” and “expose them to risks that can affect their development.”

Karol G, J Balvin, Maluma, Feid, Ryan Castro and Blessd are the reggaeton who participate in ‘+57’, which is titled with the Colombian telephone code. The original letter alluded to a young minor in the “mamacita from the Fourteen.” The phrase was modified “mamacita from the Eightteen” after criticism.

Although the original version of ‘+57’ is no longer available, Colombian justice has urged its authors to “avoid disseminating or publish musical compositions that transgress the fundamental rights of children and adolescents.”

Karol G apologized for the content of the original letter of ‘+57’, although he explained that the intention of its authors was never the one that the accusations indicated: “I feel very affected and apologize to my heart.”
