Zac Farro is the next paramore member who launches solo album. ‘Operator’ is put on sale on July 18.
Farro founded Paramore with his brother, Josh, and vocalist Hailey Williams, when they were all teenagers. The two Farro brothers left the formation in 2010 for legal reasons, but Zac returned to the band in 2017 and continues in it since then.
‘My My’, the Single of presentation of ‘Operator’, is a change of radical third with respect to Paramore’s proposal. The guitars now slide with the “Twang” of the country, the batteries are caressed as in the soft-rock and the acoustic guitar layer leads to the author’s song of the 70s. Fans of Father John Misty, Andy Shauf or Mac Demarco should give it a chance.
Despite the pleasant sound of ‘My My’, the message of his letter contains a bittersweet background. Farro explains that ‘My My’ is a “personal song about witnessing a loved one to try to let someone feel a deep affection” and that tries to capture “that kind of pain that is carried inside.” According to Farro, ‘My My’ «captures those moments of reflection and processing that travel the entire album». The length brings 9 clues:
