Sade Adu has broken his musical silence with the release of “Young Lion,” a deeply personal song featured on queer charity compilation “TRAИƧA”.
“Young Lion”, a song dedicated to his son Izaak, a trans man, is accompanied by an emotional video clip directed by Sophie Mullerwho has collaborated with Sade on iconic videos like “By Your Side” and “No Ordinary Love.”
The video combines home movie footage of Adu and his family to convey a message of love and support. This project marks Sade’s return to the musical scene after his last song in 2018, and is part of the ambitious compilation “TRAИƧA”which brings together, among others, artists such as André 3000, Sam Smith, Clairo or Sharon Van Etten.
In addition to its digital release, the compilation will be available in a special edition of six LPs and a thirty-two-page booklet that will arrive in the spring of 2025. There will be a total of forty-six pieces of music divided into eight chapters.
