You are “lucky” to be able to have fun with Fcukers

The New York duo Fcukers (pronounced “fuckers”) releases their first album this March 27. Their debut ‘Ö’ is preceded by a year of hype in which they have popularized songs derived from the electroclash of the beginning of the century, raver sound and 90’s electronics such as ‘Bon Bon’ or ‘Play Me’. They have given more than 100 concerts in the last year, which includes shows at Primavera Sound, Coachella and Glastonbury – the 3 biggest pop festivals in the world – or tours with Tame Impala and LCD Soundsystem.

Their new album was produced by Kenny Beats, with additional collaboration from Dylan Brady (100 Gecs) and mixed by Tom Norris (Lady Gaga). Apart from ‘Play Me’ we already know ‘I Like It Like That’, in the wake of Basement Jaxx, and this month a single called ‘LUCKY’ was revealed, which we chose today as Song of the Day.

Shanny Wise herself directs the video, which is a party as suggested by the dynamics of the recording itself. If Daft Punk opted for disco music in their particular ‘Get Lucky’, and Franz Ferdinand for indie-dance in an even earlier “lucky, lucky”, Fcukers used piano house.

We are facing a celebration “you are mine cause I’m lucky” that travels through Los Angeles and New York just to “not see anyone in the room until you cross the door.” Pure and simple hedonism, a refuge for the dark times that the United States is experiencing and that the dance music fans are eating with potatoes.

We leave you with the tracklist of the album, with ‘LUCKY’ strategically placed as track 2.
1. Beatback
2. LUCKY
3. Butterflies
4. If you want to party, come over to my house
5. Play Me
6. Shake It Up
7. I Like It Like That
8. TTYGF
9. Lonely
10. Getaway
11. Feel The Real
