Yorghaki and Alleh rise to number 1 on Spanish Singles with ‘capaz’, their “merenguetón” that went viral on TikTok and has made the jump to official charts. Quevedo and Aitana go down to 2 with ‘Gran Vía’; Coincidentally, Aitana is one of the personalities who have promoted ‘capable’ on their networks.
‘capable’ gained a considerable boost last week on the Spanish singles chart, rising from number 72 to number 5. It already achieved number 1 by the cap, adding close to 700,000 daily views on Spotify.
Yorghaki y Alleh is the duo formed by two Venezuelan musicians, the producer Yorghaki Yacoub and the singer Alleh Mezher. Both collaborate, on ‘capaz’, and on other hit singles such as ‘me late’ or ‘ultravioleta’, with the famous Venezuelan producer Manuel Lara, known for his work with Bad Bunny, Kali Uchis, Rauw Alejandro and Nathy Peluso.
The same day that Yorghaki and Alleh obtain their first number 1 on Singles Spain, the duo publishes their official debut, ‘LA CIUDAD’, on a rare pre-Christmas Tuesday. ‘THE CITY’ is made up of 12 cuts, and ‘capable’ appears at number 9.
To find the next entry on the list you have to go down to position 42: there Rels B salutes with his ‘1000 Millions’. The tropical rhythm of ‘Mi Refe’ by Beéle with Ovy on the Drums is placed at number 65, and ‘Modelo’, the collaboration of Cyril Kamer and Maikel Delacalle, at number 69.
The last two entries come from two different worlds: ‘Wet’ by Gordo and Bad Gyal is placed at 82. And ‘Everything is possible at Christmas’, David Bisbal’s Christmas song, enters at 89. No, their version of ‘El Burrito Sabanero’ is not on the list… yet.
