Yawners sings of fleeting optimism in “The star is you”

Elena Nietobetter known as Yawnerssings of fleeting optimism in the positive “The star is you,” the first preview of what will be his next full-length.

“The star is you” is a song that takes more pop paths than what we are used to hearing under the Yawners label. Furthermore, the song is the first of a series of previews of what we are going to find in the third full-length of this musical project that is, little by little, mutating between genres.

In “The star is you”, Nieto’s usual indie rock or punk pop guitars are somewhat put aside to approach a 90s pop that seeks another way to express itself.

The song, produced by Elena Nieto herself, was recorded in Madrid with Juan Pedrayes (Mexican Axolotls) and has been mixed by David Soler and Marcel Bagés (The Fire Extinguisher). This song – and the next one to come – is edited by MontgriCounter Intuitive (USA/UK/Canada) and Inpartmaint Inc. (Japan).
