The Barcelona electronic music project Yall publish the mix “Clubhouse 001” available only in Apple Music and which includes a dozen unreleased remixes from your favorite artists.
It is not often that the Spanish music scene crosses the borders of our country so quickly and so virally as is the case with Yall. The artist behind the project, Joan Salaexplains the following about the new mix “Clubhouse 001”: “It is made up of songs that I have been collecting during the year and some classics from my collection. It is a selection made especially for the dance floor but that can also be heard at dusk.”
The Barcelona audiovisual group has redefined the meaning of the word “party” in the world of music by uniting visual and sound content. The expansion in Europe and America was confirmed with “Hundred Miles” achieving a Diamond Record in France, where they reached number one, and a Gold Record in Spain, Germany and Switzerland.
Since Apple Music created a process in collaboration with independent labels in 2021, the platform has been identifying and paying rights holders directly within a DJ mix. Thus DJ mixes have a long-term monetary value for all the creators involved.
This is made possible based on Shazam technology that allows Apple Music to identify and compensate all individual creators involved in the creation of a particular DJ mix, including any artist behind the authorship of a mix. Apple also works closely with DJs and DJ mix providers, including festivals, clubs, promoters, curators and independent labels to ensure they receive fair compensation.
