It has been Jack Osbourne, son of Ozzy Osbourne himself, who has given new news regarding the biopic about the former vocalist of Black Sabbath and later solo star and celebrity television. The film has been in preparation since 2021, but we did not know much more recently, especially since the documentaries about his figure took center stage.
But now we know that the biopic – on whose script he worked Sharon Osbourne together with the scriptwriter Lee Hall (“Rocketman”, “Billy Elliott”)– will be filmed by Sony Pictures and Polygram Entertainment.
Jack Osbourne has stated in a radio program that the participation of “a phenomenal actor” who will fill the role of Ozzy Osbourne has already been confirmed and that there is also a director hired, while he has stated that there is still no clear title for the film.
In another interview, Sharon Osbourne, manager and wife of the Prince of Darkness, neither confirmed nor denied that the singer Yungblud is the one who plays her father on the big screen. He did so by saying that “I’m not going to say a word about it.” Sharon also joked that her role should be done by “Florence Pugh or the Little Girl in ‘Game of Thrones’”.
The rumors were born from Yungblud’s participation in the Ozzy tribute concert, the subsequent recording of “Changes” and his participation in the Ozzy tribute at the MTV VMA’s.
