Doja Cat continues to share the process of creating your next album. Doja Cat’s next album has the provisional title of ‘Vie’, “life” in French, Billboard reports, and it seems that its French influence goes beyond its title. In the first promotional images of ‘Vie’, Doja poses with a costume and hairstyle similar to Grace Jones, who versioned ‘La Vie en Rose’ by Édith Piaf many years ago. Aesthetics is elegant and sexy in equal parts.
However, the musical references of ‘Vie’ can go on the other hand. In his latest Instagram post, Doja uploads the image of red heels by the car window, and accompanies the publication with the sound of ‘Saturday Love’, the success of Cherrelle and Alexander O’Neal of 1985. O’Neal and Jackson have in common to have worked with the producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. It seems that Doja Cat’s new music will throw a Funk wave.
