Charli XCX has given the last concert of the ‘Brat’ era. The British artist has fired, more or less, her best stage at the One Universe Festival in South Korea with this message: “Please do not let it end.” After the show, Charli showed the first images of his next project, ‘The Moment’.
It is a “mockumentary” produced by A24 and based on an original idea of Charli XCX herself. Although the key details of the plot have not been revealed, Deadline described it as “the life of a Popstar on the eve of its first starting tour.” We can expect something very goal: «’The moment’ shows a privileged look at the ins and outs of the music industry and explore how the subcultural changes with commercial success».
Some of the distribution character, on the other hand, include a European creative (Alexander Skarsgård), the head of a stamp (Rosanna Arquette) and Charli’s personal assistant (Trew Mullen), in addition to Rish Shah (‘Ms. Marvel’), Isaac Cole Powell (‘The Franchise’) and Kate Berlant (‘Dream Scenario ‘).
‘The Moment’ will not be Charli’s only incursion into the audiovisual world, since his next projects also include a horror film by director Takashi Miike (‘Audition’), the erotic thriller of ‘I Want Your Sex’, the satirical drama of ‘Sacrifice’ and an adaptation of ‘100 Nights of Hero’.
