Wet Leg have achieved their second album number 1 on the British lists thanks to ‘Moisturizer’. Everything, in the middle of the fever for the return of Oasis, which has placed three albums of the Gallagher brothers in the top 5 of the list.
The Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers group, originally from the island of Wight, have replicated the success they obtained with their first album, the homonym ‘Wet leg’. This, like ‘Moisturizer’, reached number 1 of the British lists in 2022. The last LP of Wet Leg also leads the lists of vinyl and sales in independent record stores.
Wet leg, with around 18,400 sales in the Midweeks, and Oasis, with almost 13,000, number 1 had been disputed during the week. Finally, Wet Leg has reached 26,000, 11,000 of which are CD’s and another 10,000 vinyl.
The compilation ‘Time Flies … 1994-2009’ ends up occupying the second place on the list after being Top 1 last week, while ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory)’ and ‘Definitely Maybe’ occupy the third and fifth position, respectively. On the other hand, Justin Bieber’s ‘swag’ debuts at number 4.
In the rest of the list Burna Boy appear (‘No sign of Weakness’, #6), Ed Sheeran (‘Tour Collection’, #7), Amy Macdonald (‘Is This What You’ve Been Waiting for’, #8), Fleetwood Mac (’50 Years – Don’s Don’s #10).
