The Wegow ticketera communicates the acquisition of 100% of its capital by the Cultural Granada Capital Group, specialized in the financing and management of cultural projects. With this decision, Wegow intends “to leave the preoccupient state in which the company was and recover its leadership position in the sector.”
The news comes months after Wegow entered into a creditors. The platform had left important sums of sales money from tickets to artists, promoters and festivals. In accordance with the official statement, “the acquisition will allow to offer a comprehensive and differential service in the market: a 360 ° model that combines Wegow ticket technology with the financial, operational and marketing capacity of CCG, connecting promoters, artists, rooms and fans in the same efficient, transparent and sustainable ecosystem.”
The founders of CCG, Juan José Ordóñez and Antonio Barragán, explain in a press release that “this acquisition is 100 % strategic and is born of the deep respect and passion we feel for live music and those who make it possible,” and point out that “we are going to put all our tools and experience at the service of the promoters to return the trust and strength they deserve.”
