The Albacete group Flight Fiji brings to the table a very powerful new work. This time it is the video clip for his song “Pasta”, which we are premiering on this website today.
Having been filmed in the painter’s studio Ángel Fernández “Mochy”the territory in which the images are developed emanates an atmosphere loaded with truth. Material, history and presence are put in the spotlight, starring in a scene where artifice and decoration are mere formalisms; What’s more, the story is built through each object and stain that existed before the camera was on.
The painter’s gaze traverses the different planes on the fine line between control and overflow through the raw, the material and the visceral. With a color that weighs, an enveloping texture and a material that speaks, the video clip becomes a natural dialogue between Vuelo Fidji’s identity and Mochy’s vision. Sound, image, painting, music, memory and present, a “perfect nexus that captures the sought-after essence where Albaceteños immerse themselves to move forward.”
However, Vuelo Fidji will tour venues throughout the country on its tour, passing through different cities and bringing its live performance to very diverse audiences. The tour will start on April 17 in Almeríato continue the April 24 in Madrid and the April 26 in Balazote. In the month of May, Vuelo Fidji will perform on May 14 in Villamaleawhile June will include several notable events: June 6 in Almagro, June 13 in Villagarcía del Llano, June 19 and 20 at the Antorchas festival and June 27 in Sisante. Already in the middle of summer, the band will visit Santa Pola on the 4th of July and Tarazona on July 12before going on stage in Higueruela on August 8. The tour will close on September 26 in Valenciaputting the finishing touch to an intense concert season.
