Vangura They will officially publish “time ago” tomorrow, a version of “What Once Was” to honor the emblematic duo Her’swhich died tragically in 2019.
VangourA, the indie pop duo formed by Ignacio and Miguelthey have released “long ago”, a song with which they pay tribute Her’s. The members of this British band, Stephen Fitzpatrick and AUDUN LAADINGtogether with his Tour Manager Trevor Engelbrektson, died in 2019 after having a traffic accident in the United States. The tragedy occurred while traveling to a concert in Santa Ana (California), just after acting in Phoenix (Arizona).
The members of Vangaura had the opportunity to see them live in their only concert in Spain, and their loss had a great impact on both, which has led them to adapt the lyrics of one of their best known songs: “What Once Once Was.” Its “time ago” version has been in a drawer for a long time, until in recent months Miguel “decided to resume it also adapting the instruments to a style closer to yours.” With a Dream Pop sound that evokes the feeling of Nosltalgia, the issue serves to remember moments that will no longer return and look back with tenderness and sadness.
But let’s let themselves be those who comment on the song: “We are very excited to be able to release the video that accompanies the humble adaptation we have made of one of the songs of Her’s, a band we admire and that unfortunately left us some time ago. We were lucky to see them live in their concert in Madrid weeks before their accident. We were going to see Baywaves We found by surprise with Her’s … we fell and fans from the second zero.
