The Bilbao band Izena releases a new preview of his first album “Identikatea”.
Izena (“name” in Basque) is a new band from Bilbao formed in 2022 by Eneko Llona (vocals and guitar) and Iván Gómez (drums and backing vocals). Today we are presented “Harmaila edo track”, the second preview of what will be their debut album. Rock with overtones of electronics and careful vocal production is what we find in this direct and sophisticated song, which raises the duality between the stage and the audience, who is looking at who?
The project is based on simple, but forceful rhythmic bases, followed by reflective lyrics that deal with the everyday and the abstract. Some of their references are Queens of the Stone Age, Audioslave, Black Keys or Foo Fighters. After a period of composition they have managed to achieve their style; his identity.
