We premiere “Before Summer”, the new Vanadium. The Madrid musician and producer hides behind that name. Pablo Nietoand the song serves as a preview of their album “Better Times” (Sin Hilo, 24).
“Before Summer” is the first preview of an album, the titled “Better Times”, which will be released in mid-June. Today we premiere this challenge of synthesized beats and melodies, with a video that combines artificial intelligence and contemporary dance.
Although at first it may seem like something else, Vanadium has nothing to do with hard rock or that Italian eighties band. What's more, we have the feeling that we are facing one of the strongest and most interesting proposals of the year in terms of electronic hybrids generated in Spain. Vanadium was born from the concern of Madrid musician and producer Pablo Nieto to fuse easily identifiable and combined styles in an organic and natural way, giving rise to a new sound, full of nuances.
It was last year when his first full-length was published, “GWYRDD_”. He now returns to Sin Hilo, betting on much more determined and complex work. In the sound of it we can capture the essence of a Aphex Twin that makes friends with Jon Hopkins and Slowdive. Almost nothing. Rhythmic patterns that never stop captivating us, emotional atmospheres and melodies that stick in our brains are some of his weapons when it comes to producing.
