The Navarrese artist Anne Lukin is back, five years after releasing his debut album, with the first preview of his new work.
We exclusively premiere, “And without wanting”, the first tasting that allows us to savor the mischief, sweetness and pop experimentation that Anne Lukin will unleash on his second studio album. 5 years after her debut album, the Pamplona native now arrives with the first appetizer of an album composed by herself in which she also co-produces with Víctor Valiente. Furthermore, it incorporates a new fundamental dimension of its identity: language. Half of the album is written in Basque, a conscious commitment to raise their culture and expand the limits of their own artistic project.
In the last five years, Anne has had to make a place for herself in the big city, she has lost friends and met new people, she has fallen in love, she has had jobs of all kinds and she has even questioned her path in music. “And without wanting to” narrates the experiences that have shaped her current self, more painful or more inspiring, but necessary to place her in the place where she is today. The lyrics are introspective and honest, with direct messages that appeal to specific moments in his life. In contrast to this, the production of the song is light with a touch of fun linked to experimentation. Almost like a game, the theme gradually reveals different organic details such as xylophones, clicks, glasses or flutes. And at the end, with a melancholic, almost magical cello arrangement, it allows us to reconcile with life and its process.
The second album by the singer, songwriter and producer originally from Iruña will arrive after “The next day”an album that featured collaborations with artists of the stature of Zahara and Gorka Urbizu, as well as other additional collaborations with emerging artists such as Maren, Nogen or The Crab Apples.
